Financial Aid Timeline
To ensure consideration of aid awards for the Fall term, this timeline is your guide to FAFSA and TASFA processing.

Recommended Deadline
March 15
Complete 2024-2025 financial aid application by March 15 to avoid potential delays in processing.
To meet this recommended deadline:
- Complete FAFSA or TASFA and all "To Do" items in myUNT
- Be sure to check EagleConnect email for updates!
Priority Deadline
April 15
Complete 2024-2025 financial aid application by April 15 for consideration of all forms of aid for Fall 2024.
To meet this priority deadline:
- Complete FAFSA or TASFA and all "To Do" items in myUNT
- Be sure to check EagleConnect email for updates!
JUNE 1
Status Check
To ensure aid will be in place for the Fall 2024 payment deadline by June 1:
- Complete all "To Do" items in myUNT review and accept financial aid offers
- Complete FAFSA/TASFA immediately, if not done. Monitor EagleConnect email and myUNT for next actions.
JULY 1
ALERT
FAFSA or TASFA completed after July 1 is unlikely to result in financial aid in time for the Fall 2024 payment deadlines.
- Make payment arrangements
- Refer to the Student Accounting checklist for payment options and deadlines
- If FAFSA or TASFA is complete, make sure all "To Do" items in myUNT are complete and aid offers are accepted!
AUG 15
Payment Deadline
Students with an outstanding balance are at risk of being dropped from classes for non-payment after August 15 and should:
- Ensure that anticipated financial aid is enough to cover your balance
- Enroll in a payment plan or other approved payment arrangement
