The UNT Financial Aid & Scholarships team is dedicated to assisting students and families throughout the financial aid process. UNT offers financial assistance or merit-based scholarships for qualified students and a variety of other tools that families can use to make higher education possible. Start your financial aid process by applying to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Fall 2024 Important Dates
To ensure consideration of aid awards for the Fall term, this timeline is your guide to FAFSA and TASFA processing. Visit Priority Deadlines and Dates for more information on deadlines for Spring and Summer.
March 15
Complete financial aid application by March 15 for consideration for all forms of aid for Fall 2024.
June 1
Complete all "To Do" items in myUNT. Review and accept financial aid offers by June 1 to ensure disbursement for Fall 2024.
July 1
Financial aid for applications completed after July 1 is unlikely to be in place by the Fall 2024 payment deadline. Please see Financial Aid Timeline for additional detail.
August 15
Students with an outstanding balance are at risk of being dropped from classes after August 15.
